Working of slit lamp microscope

Make the patient sit on the examination chair and rest his chin and forehead on support to the head.
bullet Torch a fine strip of paper stained with fluorescein to the side of the eye of patient. The dye rinses out of the eye with tears.
bullet The dye would dilate the pupil.
bullet Examine the eye after 20 minutes.
bullet Examine the patient's eye
bullet Allow the beam of light to fall on the eye of the patient.
bullet Set the eye piece to get a clear view of the patients' eye
bullet Examine any kind of wear and tear in the tissue of the eye.

Check for the symptoms against cataract, corneal swelling, retinal pigmentation, retinal detachment, presbyopia, glaucoma, optic nerve damage, cornea damage, retina damage, bacterial eye infections, degenerative eye diseases, macular degeneration, dry eye diseases, etc and other disease symptoms.
